Oaxaca: 04

Coming back to these photos nearly six months after visiting Oaxaca. Why did it take so long to get to these photos? I guess after leaving Oaxaca I just needed a break from all things Mexico. I was in Bogotá. Things were new and exciting. I had just started vlogging. I think that’s the main reason. I switched my focus primarily to video. That consumed just about all my free creative time.

Now, months later I decided to bust out my camera not for video but for a simple photo walk around Batumi, Georgia. I have been vlogging like mad. If you aren’t aware of my YouTube Channel please check it out. You’ll see what I mean. Since leaving Mexico, and at the time of writing this, I have shot and edited around 60 videos. Damn. The majority coming from the country of Georgia. I needed a little break from video.

My vlog.

I returned to my Airbnb excited to see what I shot. I then noticed two untouched folders of photos from Oaxaca. Ugh. Alright. I guess I should be good and get to those before editing and posting anything new. I need to find a way to keep shooting photos. I forgot how relaxing of an activity it is. Unlike vlogging which can be a little stressful. It requires a different level of engagement. Photography––that can almost be a meditation. I can walk around like half asleep, slowly, staring at things for long periods. I can take my time.

Anyway. Here’s the second to last batch of photos.
